Floating Interface Not Showing on Custom Type Categories

  • I’m testing the plugin with a theme that has custom portfolio posts and types. ‘Portfolios’ shows up in the placement list for the available Placement checkboxes in the Floating Interface settings and when checked the Floating interface shows up on the Portfolio posts. But the theme also has Portfolio Types (custom categories) which do not show up in the placement list and the Floating interface does not show up on the Portfolio type pages. It does show up for the standard blog categories, but not the portfolio types. Is there anyway to get it to work on the portfolio type pages?

    I’m also not seeing the sharing widget on some pages. I’ve added the sharing widget to all the sidebars under the “Share this” section. It shows up on blog posts and portfolio posts, but not on the home page or on the category pages, or the portfolio type pages.

    You can try an alternative.
    You can enable the Sassy Social Share - Floating widget from Appearance > Widgets page in the admin area, in a widget area that is present on the web pages where you want to show the icons. That widget area could be Footer too. Floating bar will appear at the position that you choose in the options of the widget, even if the widget is placed in the footer. After this, you would like to disable all the page groups from Placement option in Floating Interface section at the plugin configuration page in the admin panel, to avoid multiple floating bars.

    Great thanks that worked for the floating interface!

    Any idea how to get the Standard Interface widget to show up on the home page or on the category pages, or the portfolio type pages sidebars? I have them added to all my sidebars, in the “Share this” section, but they are not showing up on those sidebars. They do show up fine on the individual post and portfolio sidebars thought.

    Make sure you have checked the Enable Standard sharing interface checkbox in the Standard Interface section at the plugin options page in the admin area.

    Thanks. Yes, that’s on.

    It shows up on most pages in the sidebar, but not on the home page (which is the main blog page) and the category pages, or the portfolio type pages sidebars. The standard interface shows up with each post, but the standard interface widget is not showing in the sidebar of any “archive” type pages.

    You can see the standard interface is showing with each post summary, but it should also show in the sidebar where it says “Share This” I have the standard widget in that sidebar, but it doesn’t show on any of the archive summary type pages… But if you click into a post, it shows on that sidebar fine.

    On the standard interface backend I also have the following all checked for Placement:

    Homepage
    Posts
    Pages
    Category Archives
    Archive Pages (Category, Tag Author or Date based pages)
    Portfolios
    Products
    Testimonials
    Staffs
    WooCommerce Product Page

    This seems to be a bug in the plugin. We will fix this in the upcoming updates of the plugin.
