• Good morning, I had a query about the floating button, it works as support, this button sometimes works by redirecting me to WhatsApp… but sometimes the button stops working and it sends me to the WhatsApp installation page, how could I fix that problem, I’m using the woodmart theme.

    Hi @alphavarez

Thanks for using the plugin and really sorry for the issue.
I’m not really sure how this could happen.
Perhaps you can give me the links of where the floating button works and where it doesn’t, so I can further inspect the issue.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi.

Checked several pages of your site on my end, and every time I clicked the floating button, it’s working perfectly.
Can you give me which link of your web page did this https://snipboard.io/OavP3J.jpg issue occurred?
It’d help to inspect the issue further.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi.

You didn’t give me the link other than home page, so in your case, I assume that this issue https://snipboard.io/OavP3J.jpg happened on home page?
It’s working perfectly fine on my end, both on desktop and mobile (Android and iOS) devices.

The plugin itself uses dynamic WhatsApp base URLs which will automatically detect the device used (using WordPress’s default wp_is_mobile function).
E.g., if a site opened in a PC web browser, the WhatsApp base URL will be web.whatsapp.com, and on mobile, the base URL will be api.whatsapp.com.
Perhaps in your case, when you open your site on a mobile device, the WhatsApp base URL is still web.whatsapp.com, that’s why you’re having that issue.

Perhaps I will add an option when users can enforce one WhatsApp base URL regardless of what device used.

Meanwhile, if you use a caching plugin, please ensure that the configuration is working fine on mobile device. Some caching plugin configurations might prevent the wp_is_mobile to work properly.

    Hope it answers your question.
    Thank you.
