Hi- I searched for the answer but haven’t found it.

    I added the shortcode:
    [table id=3 responsive=flip responsive_breakpoint=”device” /]
to the ALL TABLES page where it says SHOW SHORTCODE
    but it wouldn’t stick.

I also tried to input the shortcode on the EDIT page but was unable to edit that at all.

    I tried on two browsers.
    please advise.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

You’d need to change the word device to one of phone, tablet, desktop, or all, as mentioned on the Extension’s web page.

(Please also make sure to not accidentally use “curly” quotation marks around that word, but “straight” ones ".)

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thanks so much for your quick response.

    is this correct?
    [table id=3 responsive=stack responsive_breakpoint=”all” /]

    Hi,

    yes, the Shortcode

    [table id=3 responsive=stack responsive_breakpoint="all" /]

would work. It would turn on the “stack” mode for table 3 on all devices (from phone to desktop). Please double check that you are using the correct upright quotation marks " around the word all.

thanks- yes, I am familiar with the ditto vs quote marks.
when I enter the shortcode, I feel like I am missing a “save” command because when I just leave the page, the shortcode reverts back to the simple shortcode. (it’s not sticking)

    Hi,

where exactly are you changing this? You need to do this on the page where you have embedded the table.

can I ask another question? I would like a column with URLs in them to have active URLs. I found this “automatic_url_conversion=true” but am not sure how to add it to the shortcode.

    Hi,

    sure! ??

Just add that to the existing parameters, like

    [table id=3 responsive=stack responsive_breakpoint="all" automatic_url_conversion=true /]

Note that you’d first need to download, install, and activate the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/automatic-url-conversion/
