I need help for a very strange circumstance. Just recently (sometime after my post on March 13th), when I embed flickr code into a post, and I try to save the post, I receive an error of “page not found”.

This occurs regardless of themes (including the original theme), with plug-in all deactivated, and also in all of my wordpress sites (which all have different themes and plugins). The error occurred when it was 3.3.1 and continues to error after upgrading to 3.3.2.

The error occurs when I try to put the html code into a new post (yes, it is in the HTML view), or when I try to edit an old post (that has either current or previous flickr code). However the old posts work when not modified.

I have no clue even of where to begin to try and fix this.

Can anyone help me? I would be so grateful.

    Keith

  • I don’t know how to help you and I do not know what was the code you added into your post. Can you give and example of a working code and the not working code?

But I do know that if you try to embed YouTube code a lot depends on the location of the code in your post. I noticed that if there were & nbsp ; or blank lines before and after the code and then you insert YouTube code it works. Not inside tables or other code.

    Does this help?

Hi, Thank you so much Peter for your response.

After many days of testing and hypothesis testing, it turns out it was a mod_security issue on the server.

So it is fixed and wordpress is operating as it should.

    Phew.
