Flickr Gallery – options exhausted? :-(

I have been fighting to get the Flickr Gallery plugin installed for like two hours. I’ve never had this much trouble with a plugin before.

I’m getting

Parse error: parse error, unexpected ‘/’ in

among other things. I think I have just done it ALL WRONG.. I want that darn Flicker gallery on there so bad that I can taste it. lol.

Has anyone written a GOOD, THOROUGH installation guide for this install for newer versions of WP? I have no idea where I’m going wrong.. config or elsewhere.
