Flickering Page

Is this in a specific browser? Are you seeing the flickering within the dashboard or on the actual page? I can’t seem to replicate this.

Do you find the flipping-flashing when you switch to Twenty Twelve theme with all plugins off?

I’m using Firefox. Its within the dashboard – the page keeps renewing itself. And I can’t stop it – nor get the plug-in to work. I’ve already deleted and reinstalled it – no luck.

Krishna – I’m using Brunelleschi, and I’ve never had this problem. I don’t understand why I would have to change themes, and cancel all the plug-ins. I’d rather not, if there’s another way.

No, I do not want that you change your theme or plugins permanently. It’s a temporary troubleshooting step. You can put back your theme and plugins after that.

There is no magic bullet in these situations. This is just the start of basic troubleshooting and is a process of elimination deliberately designed to locate the root cause as quickly as possible by first removing the most obvious and common culprits via a series of (often) temporary steps.

Do you want to locate and, hopefully, fix the problem on your site? If “yes”, then please help us to help you and carry out the changes that we suggest.

I think I might have solved it – I tried the same operation using Chrome as the Browser and it seems to have worked…. No page renewing itself…

However- I’m having some difficulty figuring out NextGen. A complaint about my site was that the images load too slowly. So that’s when i investigated a better system for loading images and discovered NextGen. I’m now trying to understand the difference between Album & Gallery – and what would work for me. Still haven’t gotten the hang of it – is there a good reference for it? An on-line “manual” I can read? Or can you suggest the best plug-in for quick review of images – or even a good, easy to upload slide show?
