Hello, I have installed the Flexible Checkout Fields plugin (version 4.1.1) on my WordPress because I need to change the phone field from optional to required. When I enter the editing fields through the plugin, I see that the phone number is marked as mandatory, however on my checkout page it is marked as optional.

I am seeing something completely different on my checkout page than what is shown in the field editing table of the Flexible Checkout Fields plugin, what could be the cause?

I have done a clean installation, with WordPress and WooCommerce only, and the same thing keeps happening, the fields on the checkout page are different from those that appear in the plugin’s editing table.

Please could you help me figure out what is happening?

    Thank you so much.

It seems that the field id is not the same. I don’t understand it, it seems that the checkout page is not what it should be, but it is the one that WooCommerce has created by default, could it be a problem in the latest versions?

    Hi SusiWG,

You have WooCommerce Blocks enabled on your checkout page, and our plugin isn’t integrated with this mechanism yet. The addition of this feature is reported to programmers, but we do not know the date of its implementation.

I will add you to the list of customer interested in this functionality and I will inform you when it happens.

Meanwhile, you can bypass it, by deleting WooCommerce Blocks from your checkout page. Navigate to Pages > All Pages > Checkout and add [WooCommerce_Checkout] shortcode.?https://monosnap.com/file/qTnc9CzCUXQGUWM54u0D51nqEclace

    It will work.

In case of further questions, please contact me.

    Best Regards,

    Hello @webmastergrupoidex,

you can keep using the WooCommerce block checkout and change the phone field from optional to required.

For that you’ll have to go to “WP Admin -> Pages -> choose the Checkout page for editing”, the Gutenberg editor will open and it will load the checkout block. Within the block select the “Shipping address” inner block and open the block’s settings (top right side of the page, second button from the right). Inside the block’s settings you’ll find the “Require phone number?” checkbox setting. See this screenshot.

For making this change you don’t need to install any additional plugin like the Flexible Checkout Fields.

    Hi Diana Burduja, SusiWG

As we haven’t got any replies, I’m marking this topic as resolved for now.

@rzepsen I think I have the same problem like SusiWG. I′m using WooCommerce Blocks and my new field is not shown: https://equili.at
(You can buy all courses, only I will get the orders). I already tried to delete the code on Pages –> WooCommerce Checkout Page and replace with [WooCommerce_Checkout] as you recommended, but this doesn′t work too? Instead the code is shown as text “[WooCommerce_Checkout]” and the checkout-page is away.
    What can I do?
    Can you help me please?

    @clemunicator
[woocommerce_checkout] is the correct form (small letters)

    Hi clemunicator

Does the problem still occur after changing the shortcode letters to lowercase?
