    Hi,

    My navigation arrows on my Flex slider recently (not sure when) started to display at the bottom of the image, almost off the bottom. They were centre-aligned when I first set up my slider.
    Is there a setting I changed by mistake, or could it be related to original image size?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey,

    Firstly, did you clear your cache after changing the slides? That might be your issue.

    I just did, same issue. Is it working when you go to the site?

    Hey,
    This plugin: slider-video is adding some css that is throwing it off.

    You can add this in your theme options > advanaced settings > custom css box and it will fix for the theme slider:

    #imageslider .flexslider .flex-direction-nav {
        position: static;
    }

    Thank you, that is perfect!
    Question regarding video – what is the best way to add video to the home page slider? (that was why I added that plug-in, but my video clips are too large in file size for it to work)

    There is a video option built into the home slider settings. Go to Theme Options> Home Slider, select video. Then, scroll down to the bottom of the page and add the embedded code for your video.

    If your video is too large to upload directly, then uploading to YouTube and embedding with this option should work for you!

    Let me know if that’s helpful! There are other slider plugins out there that will let you do more with video sliders. Our Kadence Slider plugin is a premium option that has some video options.

    Hi Kevin,

    I’m not sure if I understand how this is different than adding a regular image slide with a link to a YouTube video (this is what I have already done). Is there a way for it to play directly in the slide?
    I added the code in as well, but I’m not sure what this accomplished as there doesn’t seem to be any difference.

    Adding a video is totally different than an image. The only way you can show a video with your home slider is by following the directions above.

    It can be done with other plugin sliders, but the free theme’s slider is not capable of this, unless you use the video option.
