The plugin retrieves the terms from the get_taxonomies() function, so perhaps there is a reason why those taxomonies are not being returned? How are they being registered?

If you want to force specific taxomonies to be included or excluded, you can add/remove them from the array filtered through the visual_term_description_taxonomies hook.
