Based on your settings, any products with free shipping class, or no shipping class, will be charged 0.

$2.50 is the price of shipping when that class is applied pls advise

I’m asking what price your cart shows when you have the ‘2.50’ class product in your cart.

After verifying that is working, try to reproduce a users cart who had free shipping. Then tell me the classes for each of the products used.

ok that is not flat rates at all. Thats the ‘free shipping’ method which can be turned off in shipping settings.

In flat rate settings, set the ‘cost’ to 0 and see if it fixes your issue.

hi mike i have two types of shipping free shipping and flat rate

free shipping class is specifically applied to specific products

flat rate is specifically applied to specific products

in flat rate settings i set the cost to 0 as the below screenshot

    https://prntscr.com/8512nn

but still the shipping is by default applied as free shipping to all the products

    please advise

    thanks

Moses I think I figured out the problem with the help of mike there do the following

Goto wocommerce settings and turn off free shipping and if you wanna give free shipping then create a free shipping class in flat rate shipping and apply it to products where you wanna give free shipping and that shall solve your issue

I have the same situation exactly

“i have two types of shipping free shipping and flat rate
free shipping class is specifically applied to specific products
flat rate is specifically applied to specific products
but still the shipping is by default applied as free shipping to all the products”

    please advise
