Flat rate overwriting UPS during multiple product checkout

  • I installed the WooCommerce UPS shipping extension, and I also use a Flat Rate shipping class on a few of the products. We’re having trouble when we have a product with a shipping class, and one without, in a cart. It should default to UPS (that’s the chosen default), but instead it’s using the flat rate shipping class for the entire order.

    Is there a way to, if multiple products are in the cart with different shipping methods, to default to UPS? This is somewhat urgent as this site launches TODAY.

    Same thing occurs with any of the other shipping methods as well. UPS is no longer an option when any of the other shipping methods are present as being an option for one of the products in the cart.

    I have the same issue. I have a specific class of product that I want to offer a flat ship rate to. But when this class of product is combined with other products I want UPS to be the default (and only option) available for shipping. If a customer selects the flat rate item first, and then another product second, only the flat rate option is available. If they select the UPS ship item first and then the flat rate item second, flat rate is still an option available to choose as a ship method. Could really use some help to resolve this issue.

    Not knowing your setup etc., I’d suggest that this is working correctly, however, incorrectly based on your requirements.

    WooCommerce has the ability to show multi-party shipping service providers during the checkout phase, such as FedEx and USPS, at the same time based on the whole cart.

    What WooCommerce won’t do is be able to split certain products to be shipped via specific shipping providers.

    I’m having the same problem, has anybody figured out how to resolve this? I’ve tried the 3 settings in flat rate that allow you to apply it to the order, the item or the class. No matter what, it only applies the flat rate fee of that item to the order. Even if there are a bunch of other items in the cart, in turn loosing money on shipping.
