I see there is an option for the admin to take a flat commission for each order. But could there be a way to do it the other way around, where the vendor gets a flat amount for each item ordered?

    Thank you,
    Sam

  • Hello @tallsam

Dokan has 4 types of commissions. Out of which 2 (Global and Vendor wise) are available in the free version. Since we are not able to discuss pro features here in the forum as per forum rules, I am going to discuss only those above mentioned commissions.

Global and Vendor wise commission’s are actually calculated as per the order. That means whenever an order is placed, it will calculate the admin commission set by admin. Vendor wise commission overrides the global commission if both of them are set.

As a common practice, vendors are the one choses the product price. And the product price can vary from each product to another. That’s why common practice is admin gets a constant amount of commission from each sale. So, What you are asking vendor gets a commission and rest of the amount will go to the admin is not possible by default.

I hope you got my points.

Yes I get your point. From my reading it doesn’t sound like the paid versions do this either.

Here is my reason for wanting the vendor to get the fixed amount rather than the admin: the vendor is providing a digital product that the admin is manufacturing. But it can be customized by the admin based on customer requests. So the vendor should only ever get the base amount, and not profit from the customization.

I’m not sure how common this scenario is, but perhaps it’s a feature to discuss implementing…

I’m going to ask this question direct on your website too…

    Thanks,
    Sam

    Hello @tallsam

It will be better if you contact our website. However in short, this feature you are asking is not possible with Dokan.
