I love this plugin! I have been using it for several years on my website, which has become a key ingredient in my Spanish courses (I teach at a Community College in Colorado, USA). I just went to the site the other day and all the flashcards come up blank. You can see this problem on the page I referenced in the toggle below the video called “Flashcards: The Classroom”. I update all my plugins and my theme (Responsive) whenever updates are available, but I haven’t added any plugins.

I have no idea what the problem is. Any help would be appreciated so much!

Sorry, just saw your post. Give us a day or so to look into it. Do you have other pages that are working?

We think we have a fix (although we’re not sure — we weren’t able to replicate the problem). Nevertheless, it appeared that Qwizcards was not “playing nice” with another plugin (again, we’re not sure which one, but the problem was related to the jQuery “widgets” script).

You can try the fix by installing the beta version of the Qwizcards plugin. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Qwizcards. At the bottom of the Qwizcards Options page, under “Revert to an earlier version” enter version “0.00”. Then click “Save Changes”. This should install version “beta 2 for 3.25” (If for some reason you want to go back to current version of the plugin (3.24), do an update on Dashboard > Plugins.

Please let us know if that works for you. The changes will be part of the next regular update of the plugin, in the near future, in any event.

Thank you so much for getting back to me and offering a solution. I really appreciate it. I followed your instructions, but when I clicked on “save changes”. I got a these two warnings:

Warning: session_destroy(): Trying to destroy uninitialized session in /home2/teacher/public_html/wp-content/plugins/qwiz-online-quizzes-and-flashcards/qwiz_admin.php on line 1030

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home2/teacher/public_html/wp-content/plugins/qwiz-online-quizzes-and-flashcards/qwiz_admin.php:1030) in /home2/teacher/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1210

Do you have any idea what the problem is?

    Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for giving it a try. Sorry about that error! A roundabout fix: we made a small update to 3.24, which you’ll have to install first before you can do the “beta 2 for 3.25” install. I think the only way to re-install 3.24 is to delete the plugin, and then install it. Then do the “revert to 0.00” step again — hopefully this time it will work!

    Keep us posted! Thanks again.

It worked! Thank you so much for your support. And my students all thank you as well.

    Great, glad to hear! Thanks!

On my site, there seems to be a conflict with the events manager plugin.
flashcards only work if qwizcards doesn′t load the jquery library.
