    Dear Dan,

Thank you very much for the excellent plugin. I am wondering if it is possible to tweak the message in the flashcard summary when the user has clicked “Need More Practice” at least once. Right now, the message for me reads:

“This deck had [x] cards. It took you [y] number of tries before you felt comfortable enough to click ‘Got It!’ on each card.”

The thing is, the number of tries returned is the total number of tries for all cards combined whereas the message attributes this number to each card. I tried using the WordPress plugin editor to make this change in the qwizcards.min.js file, but that did not work – it kept showing the original message. (That was the only file where I could find the message.) I’m no developer, so it would be useful to know why that doesn’t work.

In any case, would it be possible to change the message to:

“This deck had [x] cards. It took you [y] number of tries before you felt comfortable enough to click ‘Got It!’ on all cards in total.”

…or something similar? Or maybe I’m not thinking of the use case you developed this message for.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Mark

Thanks, and thanks for the feedback. I agree, it could be clearer! A quick fix is to use the Qwizcards translation feature to change the relevant phrase. It’s a bit difficult to figure out, but the relevant phrase here is “for each card”. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Qwizcards. Under “Customize button labels, etc.” enter this, for example, in the text box:

for each card; on every card

I think that’s clear, and also succinct. Do you think it’s clear enough? If so, I’ll make that the default in future releases.

    Thanks again, — Dan

Perfect! That worked like a charm. Thank you, Dan. I see you’ve thought of these kinds of use cases as well, which shows just how well constructed your plugin is.

As for the exact wording, I might humbly suggest “on all cards in total” as a default because the number of tries shown in the summary is reflective of the stack as a whole rather than on each individual card. When the language focuses on “each card” or “every card”, it seems like the user might have had to click “Need More Practice” [y] times on every card in the stack, which I think could work if the number of tries was, for example, stated as an average per card.

In any case, this is but a minor quibble that’s, as you’ve shown, entirely customizable. So there’s no problem! Again, thank you for providing a solidly built plugin and your quick and helpful support.
