• I have a problem with the flash upload of images, but only when using Firefox on my 64bit Ubuntu as a client. This is my situtaion:

    • Browser upload is working with all clients
    • Flash Upload is working when using Firefox on Windows, so I don’t think it is a installation or configuration problem of WordPress.
    • Flash Upload is not working with Ubuntu 64bit Firefox

This is what I can do on Ubuntu

    • I can switch between browser and flash upload
    • I can open the file selection dialog and select files
    • After choosing files, they appear in the list as shown on this screenshot.

The problem is that the upload should start after choosing the files, but it does not. It just does nothing. There are no request sent to the Apache webserver, I checked the logfiles. The Javascript console in firefox does not show any errors.

      The client is: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.8) Gecko/2009032712 Ubuntu/8.10 (intrepid) Firefox/3.0.8
The flash plugin is: Shockwave Flash 10.0 r22, npwrapper.libflashplayer.so

I already tried a new version of SWFUpload (v2.2.0 Beta 5), but it did not solve the problem. Now I’m back to the original SWFUpload-version of WordPress.

Any ideas where I should start to debug this?
