• The Flash MP3 Player plugin (link) works fine when running WordPress on MAMP.

When I uploaded everything to my web host (HostGator), and activated and configured the Flash MP3 Player, I get the following message on the pages where the plugin should appear:

“Here is the Music Player. You need to install flash player to show this cool thing.”

I have the latest Adobe Player installed, and all the WordPress files and settings are identical to what I have in MAMP, so I’m completely stumped as to why I’m getting this message on my pages.

    Any help?

  • It sounds like the web server doesn’t have a mime type setup for either flash or your mp3 files. I would recommend checking wtih the host to see if they can setup mime types for those files.

    Thanks Joe. I’ll try it.
