    Hello,

First time using Complianz or even creating cookie policy and I don’t seem to find answers to some of my questions:

The scanner is detecting cookies that are no longer present on the site, and it is also identifying session and local storage items as cookies. Additionally, it is unable to categorize some of the cookies. So it seems like there is a lot to change on the generated cookie policy to ensure it complies with the requlations.

I’m sure it doesn’t only happen to me, still can’t find any conversation, tutorial where it’s discussed, how people should handle and fix these issues. You can find many tutorials about the installation of the plugin, but the process ends there.

If anyone knows how where I can find answers to these questions, I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks,

    Mate

    Hello Mate,

I’m Leonardo of Complianz, thanks for your message.

I’l reply to your questions below:

    1) If there are cookies related to services no longer in your website just open those services and click the button “Delete Service”
    2) If you’re using a cache plugin with JS optimization features active please disable them or whitelist our JS following this guide https://complianz.io/javascript-delay-in-wp-rocket-and-other-caching-and-optimization-plugins/, then go to the section “Wizard” -> “Consent” -> “Cookiedatabase.org” and click the button “Sync” again
    3) If the scanner doesn’t categorize all cookies is because they’re not listed in the database of cookiedatabase.org (which is not our database)
    4) If you want to add a new service manually you can scroll down in the section explained above and click “Add service”, so you’ll be able to complete the cookie policy with the missing services
