Flags placed in WordPress menu

Hello, I’m having a hard time to place flags inside the wordpress menu. Using the shortcode [glt language=”Spanish” label=”Espa?ol”] inside description’s menu, it appears the language name, but not the flag.
To compose my page’s design, it would be perfect if I can insert the flags instead, is it possible? I read a lot of posts but didn’t find this subject anywhere.
Please help!
