• Hi, I have a plugin set up that always displays page views in the following format on all posts: “x views” and a function that displays how long a post was posted as such “x ago”. All would be fine, except my Google Webmaster tools site keywords section shows that the strongest keywords to my site are “ago” and “views”. How do I hide the views and ago phrases in my theme from search engines, because that’s basically meta-data that shouldn’t be indexed. Or what should I do in general?

I would greatly appreciate all answers. Thanks in advance.

I’m still stuck with this. I checked the source code of sites like Youtube and didn’t find any special code for generic terms. Am I making a big deal out of nothing or are there any precautions I should use? Seeing terms like “ago” and “views” listed as your top keywords doesn’t seem too encouraging.
