Fixing Formatting for Media & Text blocks

I like the way the media & text blocks format the text around the photo easily where if you use a media blog and the text blocks you can’t really format those to flow easily. But I’ve recently noticed these blocks somehow run underneath my side bar. I don’t want to remove my side bar but this is not at all user friendly. Can someone please let me know how to fix this? thank you
