• With my previous host I had to ask them to update my WordPress. Every time they did they screwed it up so I was reluctant to have them do it again. Bottom line, somewhere along the line they took the details from my custom theme and overwrote the details for the default theme so the blog looks the way it should but it is technically the default theme, while my own theme is listed as broken because it lacks a proper stylesheet. I tried opening the default stylesheet and copying that info in to the custom sheet but it still is listed as “Stylesheet is missing.” Can anyone help me out here?

  • Hi kendbin!

Do your custom theme have a style.css along with the index.php ?

Yes, both of those files are there.

OK, not getting a lot of response here. Let’s try a more specific question. Considering that the stylesheet I set up now for my custom theme is identical to the default stylesheet, except the header information, which I customized, it would seem that that would work. My question is, is there some other file in the theme that calls the stylesheet by name that I need to change so it calls the correct stylesheet? I’d really appreciate anybody’s help here. Thanks.
