Fixedheader not working with horizontal scrolling

    Hi Tobias,

    First of all thanks for your work with the plug in, it’s super useful!

    I am having issues apparently caused by the use of fixed header and I don’t know how to solve them. I searched on the forum but I can’t seem to find the solution.

    Whenever I activate fixed header for a table:
    1. the horizontal scrolling feature stops working. The horizontal scrolling bar disappear creating layout issues.
    2. When scrolling down, the header content “moves” to the right and is not aligned with the body column content anymore

    You can see an example of the issue at the page linked, within the accordion “Val Thorens”. Within the other accordions you’ll find other tables without fixed header enabled and you can see that the horizontal scrolling works normally.

    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    I’m afraid that there are two problems here:

    Due to how the FixedHeader JavaScript code works, it’s not compatible to the horizontal scrolling, i.e. you can’t use both at the same time.

    Then, the next problem is caused by the accordions. Using those means that the tables are initially hidden, when the page is loaded. Thus, the JS code can not make necessary calculations (like getting the widths of the table). This is why you get these weird results when the table is in an accordion.

    Yep, I’ll find another way to present the tables in a neat way still using tablepress ??
