We noticed after updating to 6.0.5 although it may have been since 6.0, that the fixed widget disappears when it is supposed to stop and be fixed when scrolling. I set up a staging site to check against any plugin conflicts and eliminated that. We rolled back the last 5.3.0 on the live site and it works fine again. The fixed widget is the last one in the side bar in the link above. The one that says “free training webinar, claim your spot”. I don’t see any console errors and there is no caching enabled. Help is appreciated!
    thanks

    Hi fooey,

    thanks for reaching out.

There are a lot of reasons why the new version doesn’t work as expected and I think we were able to fix most of them by version 6.0.5.

You are the first after the 6.0.5 release mentioning a sticky widget disappearing and I need more information to reproduce this.

Are you using a theme that I could download for free somewhere to set up a test?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

I have the same problem, I am using the Jupiter template, here is a link to download and you cant test this template.

Thanks Thomas, here is a link to the theme. https://mekshq.com/theme/vlog/ It’s called Vlog. We are using a child theme.

@fooey Thanks for the link. I cannot download the theme there and a test site doesn’t help me test. Since it is a premium theme, I cannot give support here in the forum either. Since you pay for them, please ask their support to take a look.

If they find the issue on our end, I would be happy if they could get in touch with me.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

@oswaldopz please open a new thread. Every case is different. Multiple threads also help me keep track of my replies and don’t bother the original poster.

Thomas, I have a staging site already set up that I can give you access to. I am not sure I understand the difference if you were to download the theme vs. already having the environment there for you to test. Let me know and if there is an email address I can send credentials to or where you would want me to send them. Appreciate your help.

    Hi @fooey,

The first link you sent to a test site did not allow me to install Fixed Widget, so there was no way to debug this.

Thanks for the offer to create a staging site. The forum guidelines prohibit sharing of logins, though.

If it is not possible to switch to the latest version on your live site – which I would understand – then you could reach out to the theme developers and ask them if it is ok to share the theme with me. You can send that information with a reference to this thread through this support form.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

Thanks, I will let you know if we need further assistance. For now we are just going to keep the older version.
