I am under the impression that I am missing something very simple here, however having tried numerous different search terms to find the answer, I still have had no such luck.

Previously when I created a product and went to attributes, every attribute option was readily available and I could quickly select the relevant term from each. Now when I create a product and go to add attributes I have to add each attribute manually. Whilst this sounds like a simple task, each product on my site has 15 attributes, sometimes when adding these wordpress lags a little, it is taking me far more time than it should to create a product.

Please could someone enlighten me as to what the solution is so that when I create a simple product and go to attributes my 15 attributes are there and ready to be filled out?

    Thank you

    Hi @jgwinbush ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

In order for the attributes to be readily available to select when adding a new product, you would first need to create the attributes by navigating to Dashboard > Products > Attributes, and creating your attributes in there.

Once this is done, you are able to select them easily when adding a new product ??

    Hope this helps!

Hi guys, thank you for getting back to me!

Maybe I did not make my point very clearly, I am aware of how to create attributes, and adding them from the dropdown is fine when creating one product.

When I am trying to churn out lots of products at once adding 15 attribute options from a dropdown for each product is something I would like to save time on doing. What I really want is for all of my attributes to be displayed as soon as I reach the attributes stage of uploading a product – which was the case previously.

I am wondering if there is a standard option for achieving this or if it requires custom code?

    Hi @jgwinbush

This would require custom code – however, probably the astest way to build products is by using the core product importer. This allows you to set the products up in a spreadsheet, which you can then save as a CSV and import.

I would recommend taking a look at the documentation on this here.

Setting up variations and variable products in the spreadsheet can take a bit of time (we always recommend first creating your product, then running an export, to see what you’re dealing with) but it can be time well invested, since importing CSV files can be far faster than manually clicking a product setup.
