Hi — Love the theme — thanks.
I wanted to show you our use/rendition of same here:
    https://ice-catcher.com/

    I have a question:
Do you ( or anybody ) have a “best-practices” jQuery-based method to make the BOTH #triggers-wrapper and the #site-navigation bars change to CSS Position:fixed when the page is scrolled downward?

Also — seeing as I have kept this site single-page, and added post links (only) to the Nav Menu — I’d like the current visible post to highlight in the nav bar if/when the user scrolls down the page.

Does anybody ( or the developer ) have input for me on making these tweaks?

BTW — personally I think that this theme almost “calls for” this to be added as a feature — “sticky top nav and main nav bars”.

    Thank you!

    XIMBALO

  • Do you mean that you want the header graphic to scroll up, but the menu and top toggle bar to remain fixed? If so, you might consider moving the menu above the header in a child theme, and then use simple CSS to make the menu and toggle bar fixed. Could that work for your needs?

    Kathryn,

Hi — Thanks for the reply — and yes that is what I meant.
To a partial degree, you can see the update that I have already applied to toward this end here: https://ice-catcher.com/

I agree with your suggestion — I just wanted to check if you already had any pre-existing solutions for this idea.

    Thanks.

Yup – I saw that you’ve used a “sticky header” plugin.

I just wanted to check if you already had any pre-existing solutions for this idea.

No one’s ever asked for this combination of changes before in this theme, but if you opt to go the child theme route and need help making the suggested changes, let me know and we can have a look together.

I am not posting a new topic as this is just a comment to what Ximbalo said above. I fully agree! I think there should be an option for the toggle to be fixed in relation to the browser window so its always displayed at the top. with no side menu or anything and with such a clean design I believe this could only enhance the functionality of the theme.

I agree to the comments that it really calls for it!

i have tried to do Position:fixed for the toggle but it is messing with the headers margins etc so I will leave that for now, but would be nice if this could be give some consideration with next update!

Thanks again for a lovely theme!
