Fixed header problem : Confirmation, Manage and Post Pages embedded video

  • Hi, I have a fixed header that stays at the top and whenever I click on the Manage Page, Confirmation Page or Post Pages, all the text saying “Thank you for subscribing” is all behind the header and can’t be seen…Is there a way to input a padding or margin before that text (usually h1 format)? If so, in what file on what line and what should I insert?
    I have tried countless tests for the past 16 hours and can’t find the place to fix this.

    Also, I am trying to embed a youtube video in the newsletter and I can’t seem to make it appear, is it possible? If so, how? I tried the iFrame and the show up on the “view in your browser” version but not in the content of the email.

    Let me check on the YouTube question and get back to you. I don’t know for sure if it works or how to best implement it. It’s just not something I have tried to do.

    Regarding your other question about the fixed Heather, I think the problem may be with you theme. To find out, go to settings and then system emails and pages and set “use theme styles” to no and save it. If that fixes your problem, we may be able to fixit if you provide us with your theme. Otherwise, you can just use the confirmation pages without your theme styles styles.

    I discussed your YouTube question with the developers, and we are going to see if we can get that working automatically. The idea would be that we would translate the WordPress short code into something that SendPress can use and create a thumbnail from the actual YouTube video and then embed it in your newsletter. I already saw that one of the developers started working on it. Hard to say when it will be done, but it’s a good idea and it is up high on our list.

    We usually try to send out a newsletter when we release some interesting features. I would say this would qualify. You can sign up for our newsletter on our website. https://sendpress.com. You can also follow us on Twitter. We do occasionally post this type of information there as well. And it will always show up on the what’s new page when you upgrade the plug-in.

    Just wanted to let you know that the latest version of send press now supports embedded videos. The only catch is that you have to add the video through the email editor. We are working on getting support for importing posts that have videos in them. But the basic support is there now if you want to test it out.
