Fixed excerpt length vs read-more block

  • On my site I am using the read-more block to specify where my posts should be cut. However, I find that this block seems to be ignored im favour of a fixed excerpt length.
    It worked with the twenty twenty theme, now it does not. Where have I gone wrong, how can I fix this?
