Fixed Bottom Menu

  • I noticed in the CSS styles there is a fixed-bottom-nav option, as well as, the default style for the fixed-top-nav. I have the top nav setup, with the fixed menu option checked and it works as expected. I went into Theme Options and overwrote the styles to move the nav bar to the bottom, but it moved it to the bottom of the containing div, and not the bottom of the screen.

    Is there an easier way to use the already written style to move the fixed nav bar to the bottom of the screen? It looks a lot better that way on mobile devices, imho. If not, it’s not a huge deal but I didn’t want to have to create a child theme just for that one ‘feature’, so I figured I’d ask here first in case I overlooked something. ??

  • Maybe take a look at the template files that drive the “Full Screen” page template. That template gives a fixed, bottom of window nav menu that I -think- is what you’re looking for.

    I’d create a custom child theme template using the basic layout that you want, and then copy/paste the code that drives the bottom menu into that new template file.
