FIX Featured Image Not Working in wordpress 3. 5

    Hi everyone. for several days i was struggling to fix the problem i was having in setting a featured image in a post but in vain until i got this solution.
    before i solved it i tried deactivating plugins, checked permissions, edited my .htaccess file. searched google for 6 days to find an answer untill this
    i believe it will help you too.

  • Did you try reverting to Twenty Eleven theme and see if it helps?

    Yes, i tried that ealier.
    Actually i tried all the 3 themes. Am using Safari Tours theme by Tutajua
    But am still struggling becuase everytime i want to edit featured image. i have to upload a fresh one. i cannot use those in media library.

    Can I see your site with Twenty Eleven theme with all plugins off?

    Krishna. thanks. the other time i disabled afew plugins that i thought were causing the problem. This time i disabled all.
    i went back to check if featured image fucntionality is working and guess what. its 100% fixed. i dont need to install a drop and drag plugin as i had did.
    Per now am going to go through all my plugins to see which one specifically was giving me the problem.
    The key i think to me was FIRST DAISABLING ALL PLUGINS.

    Have alot of plugins, so its quite going to be work to sort one which is problem.

    Just one thing
    My featured images show but they are of different image size now. The first two have different sizes than the old ones

    Hi guys, specifically the plugin which was causing the problem is
    Track The Book plugin.
    After 6 hrs of tiresome on and off plugin disabling. i managed to narrow down and found out its Track The Book plugin.
    Deactivate it

    Yes. Deactivate it. If you do not want it, better delete it because often inactive plugins too can cause problems.
