    I really DO think that your policy is wrong.
    You do not even offer a free plan.
    More than that, the fact that a mere 14 days trial account explanation is “hidden” under the FAQ section is ….unforgivable. It should be right on the very top of the description.
    To tell you the truth I believe your work should NOT even be “advertised” in the repository. No matter how good it may be. :/

    I would rather expect an answer from the plugin authors themselves but it’s ok.

    So, from the above mentioned guidelines at §5:

    5. Trialware is not allowed in the repository. It’s perfectly fine to attempt to upsell the user on other products and features, but a) not in an annoying manner and b) not by disabling functionality after some time period. Similarly, you cannot “cripple” functionality in the plugin and then ask for payment or provide a code to unlock the functionality. All code hosted by www.remarpro.com servers must be free and fully-functional. If you want to sell advanced features for a plugin (such as a “pro” version), then you must sell and serve that code from your own site, we will not host it on our servers.

    What am I missing?

    You’re missing that the code for this plugin is not trialware. It works fine and runs fine by itself.

    What it does (the plugin) is interface with a service. That’s why this plugin is software as a service and that is permitted in the WordPress plugin repository.

    Even so, this should be clearly stated AND disassociated from the services.
    Because under FAQ we read about account, campaigns, cost, free trials, pricing and “Support” ??

    What kind of support do I get?
    Wishpond campaigns are extremely easy and fast to set up. If you ever need assistance, we are available to you through live chat, email, and phone support.

    That is support for their paid service and NOT the plugin itself.
    All in all an ad for paid services.

    As you yourself have mentioned Jan at I can not recommend this plugin for anyone to use:

    Now plugin support has always been optional…
    Support (or lack of) should be a critical part of the decision to use a plugin. …
    But using the plugin page here to shill for your commercial plugin? That’s Just Not Cool? Todd. Not cool at all.

    I would simply rephrase this to:

    I understand how you may have thought the plugin is misleading, because it had no pricing information on the first page. Our customers have so far been more interested in the value we have to offer, since our products currently offer the best value for your money on the market. One of our many clients who use wordpress, vervegirl.com, has used our services on wordpress before we had launched this plugin. They were one of many to benefit from being able to use this plugin to access our services directly from their wordpress admin, and this plugin came at no charge to them.

    I hope you also know, while this looks like it’s an attempt to “fish for clients”, we have over 70,000 businesses who were very happy with our services long before this plugin was released. Some of them use wordpress and they, like yourself, can now benefit from accessing the wishpond features directly from their wordpress site through our wordpress plugins. Some of these features, like marketing automation and facebook ads, are unmatched in the wordpress plugin directory.

    That being said, I understand your frustration and I have updated the description of our plugins for you and other customers to see.

    We are not in the business of scamming people, nor do we ever want our users to be unhappy. We’d much rather our users were happy using our services to get more customers and leads than anywhere else.

    …you want to use this for free…
    …is just really shitty….

    Maybe an infantile stage -your profile shows a 2 weeks “life” in the community and a clear preference towards this company– blocks you from having unclouded thinking.

    I wont even bother with your personal remarks turning the forums to a tug of war.

    I am glad I could help. Furthermore, having updated the description will certainly build up your reputation in the community. I sincerely wish you the best, growing from 70k to 700k customers. I really do.
    Still, your descriptions under the FAQ mostly refer to Social Campaigns. Not Landing Pages. Maybe you could have a look at that as well.

    Just a further clarification.
    Does one get to be able to use the Landing Pages created by your plugin after the 14 days of trial? Meaning that if one does NOT pay for the service will one ONLY lose the benefit of using your Facebook Ads as well as Social Contents?
    Or do the Landing Pages stop functioning rendering the plugin itself useless?
    In any case I believe it should be clarified as well. ??

    Thank you for your suggestions, we have updated the F.A.Q again with the information you suggested: the Social Contests and Landing Pages Builder plugins share subscriptions, which means the free trial is the same for both plugins, because the wishpond account is one and the same. While some features may be available without subscriptions, most of the functionality for this plugin is only made available to paid subscriptions.

    Having said this, as a token of appreciation for helping us improve our listing, I would love to offer you 60 days of free trial, no strings attached, so you can enjoy trying out and working with this plugin, and maybe give more accurate feedback to fellow WordPress users regarding this plugin’s functionalities.
