Fishing competition!

  • Hi. fishing competitions are perhaps like golf… there are no teams, just many individual anglers. My angling club needs a way to show Competition results tables and ideally to rollup the results from individual competitions during the year into an overall Angler of the Year! Of course a simple manual table would work for each of these but I wanted to try sportspress. We have, say, 10 competitions throughout the season with up to 40 anglers competing. We want to show the result for each angler and the associated points score.. the table should then sort by points with the Position of the winning angler at the top and so on. Therefore we don’t have leagues and we don’t have teams. Is this easy to configure with sportspress? any advice much appreciated.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    In your case you need to create a main competition (Angler of the year?) and you do have seasons (one per year).

    Then you add all other competitions as child competitions of the angler of the year. Next you just need to create a league table for that year and for the angler of the year (which includes all sub-competitions and is limited to the right season).
