first timmer on wordpress

    I am a completely first timer on WordPress, the very first timer. I am not a web designer nor a programmer but I took interest in web design (since I am a very good graphic artist) when I lunched a website to run a religious programme I am running and since the programme is very new, I decided to do things for myself for now until the programme could pay its own bills. I was doing very well on the former platform (squarespace)I was. I could do virtually all things myself until I wanted to install facebook plugins and I was told its not possible. my keen interest to be unrestricted brought me to WordPress and I realised I have been in a cage for long. I have installed a free theme (News Magazine
    By webdorado)and its running. but I do not understand anything other than adding posts or pages. I love the default look of the theme I installed. can I used the defalt as it is for now.

    Welcome to WordPress Comunity !

    Just Go to the appearance tab in the left menu (vertical) > themes and then find your theme. Click customize and that’s it.

    If you want to achieve the demo appearance, then you should use install Sample Data option in Sample Data section of the theme. If there is something else you want, please tell us more details. Thank you.

    I still stucked trying to run through all the help sent to me. hope I will get out of this. cant wait to have my site moved to WordPress immediately

    Where can we find the Sample Data section of the theme? I’ve never seen it.

    Thank you for your reply – but I must be missing something because I just don’t see the option there. Is it possibly because I’m using the free version?

    The Sample data is available in both Free and Pro version. If you are having display issues please contact us at info[at]web-dorado.com providing us temporary full Admin access. We will check it out. Thank you.
