    Hi @clonetom

    It may be due to your path (/staging/2812) or http protocol.
    Nevertheless I believe it may be solved in this beta:

    Good, we’re getting some more logs.

    Looks like PHP CLI is not configured correctly on your server.
    Could you please try two different backup techniques (you can find them in ?other options” section) at the bottom:

    • “Bypass web server timeout directive – backup process may be slower”
    • …or “Bypass web server limits – it will disable automatic backup and possibility to run it in the background”
    • Don’t forget to save the settings ??

    After that tried the second suggestion (Bypass web server limits), but the backup process continued to restart automatically, even I aborted the process several times.

    Then deactivated and deleted the plugin (1.0.9.21 beta) and reinstalled the same. Still automatic restart of the backup process, on abort it will stop and restart immediately.

    Not sure if it’s like it should.
    As you said there are different options selected, but I can see in all above logs:
    [INFO] Legacy setting: Using server-sided script and cURL based loop for better capabilities

    Which means each try was on the same method.
    I am quite interested if the last method can make it further.

    Please confirm if those logs should be on different methods.

    I had success w/ option Bypass Server limits on, using version 1.0.9 – but that also means no automatic backups possible

    Therefore reinstalled version 1.0.9.21 and went into a loop again, which cannot stop the backup process.

    As you can guess, I’m getting impatient now after several days back & forth as well as hours spent on this.

    Yes not the logs are correct, wanted to see those.
    You should exclude this folder from backup:
    /home1/qevxpqmy/public_html/euphyrus/wp-content/uploads/backup-guard

    You can do it in first section in plugin’s menu after you click on:
    Want to exclude files based on filters? : Yes option

    Then find Exclude by directory path (last option).
    And uncheck other exclusion rules unless you know what you will exclude.

    In order to make automatic backups you need something which will run it.
    As far as I can see Bluehost does not offer proper cURL or PHP CLI workers.

    But I am not sure about PHP CLI as plugin detected it as available.
    It requires another tests like:
    1) If the available PHP CLI can run scripts
    2) Is it limited or dummy process

    It’s up to you if you want to continue this topic.
    I can try to find out why PHP CLI does not work for you.
