First the Logo, Then the Whole Site White Screen of Death
-
Hello!
PLEASE HELP ME!
I’ve been using a child theme version of the Portfolio Press theme, and just today I saw that there was an update to the original theme. Since I’ve created my own child theme, I decided to update the Portfolio press theme knowing nothing would happen to my poor baby child theme. ??
I was so wrong.
Immediately after updating Portfolio Press theme to ver. 2.6.0, my logo image disappeared! However, when I tried to reapply to the logo image through the “Customize” menu, it was still there uploaded under the “Logo Image” section! It just wouldn’t show on the website! All that was there was my site title and tagline (both of which were absent when the logo image was present, an effect I preferred). I searched the support forum in order to find an answer but couldn’t. I looked at my theme’s page in WordPress dashboard, and saw a message saying that I could safely remove the Options Framework Plugin that came with the previous version of Portfolio Press theme. I did so thinking that this would allow my Custom Logo to reappear on my website…
I was so wrong.
Now my whole website has disappeared! IT’S THE WHITE SCREEN OF DEATH! What do I do?! I’ve backed up my website using a plugin I installed a while ago, so I still have all the files, I’ve just no idea on how to remedy this situation. IT’S NEVER HAPPENED TO ME! ?? I never thought it would… Please help?
Here’s all that’s left of my poor baby:
