I migrated a site to a new host and installed All-in-One WP Security a week ago.

Today I received an email about file changes – files added to and removed from the host.
-The files added to host amount to about 100 – mostly plugins, caches for Autoptimize and Headway.
-The files removed from host amount to over a 1000, possible a few thousand, (some going back to 2009 but most from last couple of weeks ago.)

Can I ignore the files added? Is it because the site was migrated? Or do I have to check all these files for files changes? There is no link to look at files

Any help appreciated. I am new to this plugin and have looked for any documentation on this but found none.

Hi, can you share what type of files are included in the amount over 1000?

    Thank you

    Thanks for your reply.

I have had a closer look and can see that the removed files appear to be plugins, old plugin files, old theme files, old uploads.

Because of the number of files and the way the page is laid out I didn’t notice that half of the files listed are changed files. They appear to have been changed after I migrated site.

Wp-config and .htaccess are listed as changed but both look ok, as far as I can see.
The rest are plugins, language, cache theme files, all changed after the site migration.

    The site itself is fine.

So, from what you mentioned above the plugin scan feature is working correctly.

The scan feature is certainly working!

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, I am trying to learn….

Do you think the thousand or so file changes are related to the migration? I can’t believe that many files would be changed on a normal basis. How on earth can I check that many?

Also I have searched, but not found, how to check the files (Wordfence has a button to check the files). How do I find changed files without using ftp (longwinded)?

Hi, no problem we are here to help you ??

Yes all those files are due to the migration factor and all the changes in your plugins and theme as per your comment above.

Currently there is no option to check the files. All you get is the log file.

Let me know if you need more help.

Thanks for your help and for this plugin, some nice features.

A way to quickly check the files would be a great feature.
