    Hi,

the first look to your Plugin says YEEEEES! but… the second one makes me feeling stupid ??

I’m searching a plugin which provides me the following:

Frontend registration – Looks like your plugin match this
Frontend password recovery – Looks like your plugin match this
Frontend profile with edit function – Looks like your plugin match this
Global profile picture – Looks like your plugin match this
Memberslist – Looks like your plugin match this

I’ve installed the plugin and create the pages, I see Links to Register, Login, Password recovery, Members, Profile etc. All fine.

    Login works great.

    Profile Picture works great.

Within the Profile, I can not change the user name, Passwort etc.? What have I to do to manage profile fields on frontend and how can I define profile fields on Backend?

Registration page doesn’t work, It shows me only: “Require Useremail field”

I do not need groups, possible to deactivate them?

Possible to make registration with “activation link to email” after klick on this, the registration is finished?

Thanks for your help, and regards
    pare

    Hi again,

ok, I think I understand the functionality of your plugin. For register, I have not klick on registration page, I have to choose an group and can then register. But is it possible to have an activation link via email after registration which has to be clicked, so that without activation a login is not possible?

additonal: is it possible to use an shortcode within the profile, so that there can be options from third party plugins be available?

    Regards

    Hello Oare,

Thank you for your interest in ProfileGrid. As you may already know, we launched it a few days back and this is our first support ticket which is a special thing for us. So thanks once again. I will answer you questions below:

    1. You can use ProfileGrid without Group feature. Just keep using the default group which is created automatically and all users will be associated with it.

    2. To make a sign up work, it is important that is should have a User Email field. It can be added using Custom Field Manager accessible through link on the Group card. If User Email field is missing, it will show an error “Require Useremail field”.

    3. It is possible to show sign up form on a page instead of asking users to choose a group (thus hiding the Groups page altogether). For this you need to use Group Registration Form shortcode. Shortcode for this is [PM_Registration ID=”x”] Where you need to replace x with ID of the group.

    4. Click to activate through email is not supported yet. But this feature is coming very soon.

    5. Shortcode field is also coming in an upcoming version allowing you to insert shortcodes into profiles.

The main advantage of Groups is the power to create multiple types of profiles – something we thought was missing from most profile building plugins. Adding this meta layer opens up great number of possibilities for what you can do with ProfileGrid. Apart from this, Add Friend System and Paid Groups are almost ready and will roll out soon.

We wish to reiterate that your feedback is very important to us and we try to incorporate all user requested features in upcoming versions.

If you have any other questions, or if I missed anything, do let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hi Guys,

thanks for your reply and the usefull informations.

Your plugin is realy awesome, good job for now and your right, the groups function is realy a missed feature in so many plugins. But in times from facebook and Co. I missunderstood the functionality of group at the beginning of test your plugin ??

It would be realy nice, If you could release the functionality for sending activation link via email to complete the registration. This is a realy mainfeautre for many users.

Also it would be very helpful to have an little searchbar on group detailpage to search user within an group or sort the users from A-Z / Z-A.

Friend system and paid groups sounds awesome. Additional a follow user could be a nice feature.

And for my part, the shortcode option for profile page is realy neccessary. But you wrote, that this is comming soon. Nevertheless I neeeeeed this ??

    Additional:
If you like, I can help you with an German translation. But…
…Could it be, that your plugin is not completely translateble? I’ve tried to translate your plugin to German, but not all strings are shown the translation. I use LOCO translate plugin for translation. Do you have an Growdin account or someting?

    Best regards

    Hello Pare,

Thank you for your kind words. We think we’re on right track after hearing this ??

I understand how easy it would be for someone to confuse Groups with Facebook Groups. We’re thinking to rename it. Feel free to share if you have any suggestions.

Passed on your request for email activation link and search bar to the team. You will see it very soon in an upcoming release.

Friend system is 80% ready. After completion it will go out for testing. Since it is complex feature with friend suggestion algorithm, it may not be rolled out before January.

Will let you know once short-code functionality is ready.

Translations are important part of any plugin. Currently full translation is not supported. We plan to release a major update with translations of popular languages supported out of the box. Unfortunately, I do not have a date right now for that.

Expect regular updates in coming weeks as we start receiving feedback from users. We want to build this plugin as top tier solution for profile system on WordPress sites and we have big plans ahead. Obviously, this is not possible without support of users like you. So thank you from all of us here!

Also it would be great if you could leave us a review ?? It would help us reach out more users and is always a big morale booster for everyone.
