First image not visible

I see the same thing when first loading the page. The first slide does not show up until after the initial five second delay and only shows for about one second. It then appears fine as the slideshow reaches the end and starts over.

Anybody managed to figure this one out? My images are quite large so by the time the first slide has loaded it’s ready to move on to the next.

Okay, this morning I decided that the best way to overcome this issue was to create a gif with a spinner on it and set it as the first slide. Works well now.
