    Hi, a quick question…

In WP dashboard / General Settings, the “Week starts on” can be set. Mine is on Monday.

When checking the Analytics dashboard with the “This week” view on Sundays, I’m not sure if the setting above is used to calculate the various % vs the previous week. It looks, to me, as if the week is always restarted on Sundays (beginning from 0 then).

Example: Last week, I had 175 visitors, 217 visits. This week, 248 & 318. The dashboard shows -35% in visitors, and -34% in visits. Yesterday night (Saturday then), the % were positive (green) for both… today, they’re negative, although the week is not finished? There’s something here that doesn’t seem right in the way the “week on week” is evaluated…

Other ranges seem OK, as they don’t depend on the first day of the week, IMHO.

BTW, on Monday, 0:00, it properly resets to -100%.

    Hi @cybeardjm,

Great timing! I was just wondering about this myself yesterday, as there seems to be a bug in the date calculation for “this week” when you are viewing the dashboard on a Sunday. I’ll get that fixed!

    Hi again,

Seems the dashboard is a bit lost with the “this week” / “last week”

For me, in Settings, the week, starts on Monday.

    Today is Sunday 12th.

This week shows data for 01/13 – 01/19 (so starting tomorrow).
Last week shows data for 01/06 – 01/12 (but we’re still today the 12th…)

So, if I want to see the current data, including the current Sunday, I have to check “Last week”…

    Hello @didierjm,

Thanks once again! I was able to confirm the issue and am writing a range of tests now to properly address the issue for once and for good. ??
