First Class Mail

  • While grabbing rates on my checkout page, no matter what weight is entered, there still shows a FIRST CLASS MAIL option.
    I thought First Class Mail only went up to 16 ounces ?

    Why doesn’t First Class Mail drop off after 16 ounces ?

    I see by switching to USPS FIRST CLASS – RETAIL, solved the problem

    Greetings from ELEXtensions. Thanks for contacting us. The First-Class Packaging Service Retail is a service that does not involve any postcards, letters, or flats, and it is a fairly economical mailing option. However, despite enabling/disabling this option, First Class Mail is hidden if product weight is exceeded.? As we are using the direct USPS API in the plugin, only eligible services will get displayed?based on weight limit i.e. maximum weight for First-Class Mail letters is 3.5 oz; for large First-Class Mail envelopes and parcels, the maximum weight is 13 oz as given in the USPS website.

    Could you please confirm that you have set up the weight unit/converted value as per the weight requirements?
