Firewall settings blocking connections WordPress API

What were the specific errors that you had?

What “settings” were SiteGround referring too?

What “connections” were SiteGround referring too?

The error was the SG Optimizer plugin was not working. The error message said unable to connect to WordPress API. Here’s a screenshot from SiteGround support explaining what happened: https://www.screencast.com/t/kQIEwuGOS

SiteGround recommends I whitelist their SG Optimizer plugin so I can activate the Wordfence Firewall. I don’t know how to do that. What do I enter into the fields? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. See screenshot.

Thank you for the update.

Wordfence should not block the SG Optimizer plugin from being able to connect to the WordPress API.

Neither of your screenshots shows this error that they mention that the SG Optimizer plugin was unable to connect to the WordPress API.

To optimize the firewall again you will need to delete the files that they renamed and then run through the firewall optimization guide here for SiteGround:
