With the option; “If a human’s page views exceed”,
If I set that to; “30 per minute (1 every 2 seconds)”
Does it wait for them to click the 30th page and throttle/block them if that happens in 59 seconds or less?
Or, Does it throttle/block them ‘progressively’; eg. 3 clicks in 5 seconds?
I am getting quite a few of these notifications, but surely I have visited a website, clicked a page link and missed, quickly click the page link I wanted, then seen another page link I really wanted. Those 3 clicks could happen in 5 seconds…
    Thanks for clarity.

    Hi

Great question. So, if you have the option set to throttle after 30 pages per minute, then from the first click it should track the clicks until the user hits 30 in the first 60 seconds. After that, for the duration of the minute, the site returns that user a 503 – service temporarily unavailable. If someone is clicking 30 pages in a minute they must read really fast. ?? I would take a sample ip address or two that get blocked for that and check to see where it is located (whois) to see what you get back. I wonder if you are seeing a botnet. Are they hitting legit pages or ones that are 404’s?
