Hi, I’ve encountered a new issue with Wordfence for 2 WordPress websites I’m managing. After installing Wordfence, the “Click to configure” prompt leads to a URL not found error.

The Wordfence dashboard works, I can install the license, etc. But as soon as I try to access WAF options (using All Firewall Options or the Manage WAF links), URL not found. Same for the All Options page.

I tried to disable all plugins except Wordfence and it didn’t help. I tried uninstalling Wordfence, reinstalling it but again, same problem persists.

The same issue is present on two different websites I manage. But I was able to install Wordfence correctly on 8 other sites I manage (all of them are hosted with the same provider, in different accounts)

Does anyone have a clue as to how I can fix this?

    WordPress 6.4.3, Wordfence 7.11.1, PHP 8.2

Hi @user, Thank you for reaching out.

We had a few cases where the problem was determined to be Atomicorp’s Mod Security server-based firewall rule with ID 390149.

If your hosting provider is able to disable only that rule for now, that would be better than disabling Mod Security altogether.

Let me know if that doesn’t solve the issue for you.

    Thanks,

    Mark.

Just want to add that I am also having this same issue with multiple sites I manage with the Wordfence plugin.

Hello @wfmark, you are correct, disabling that rule allows to use Wordfence normally again.

Should the rule be re-enabled once Wordfence configuration has been completed?
