Normally I have many listings in the Top 5 IPs Blocked, the Top 5 Countries Blocked lists and the Top 5 Failed Logins list. Last week, the lists were empty, which is very odd.

It seems to have stopped recording anything on March 21. Any ideas why it stopped recording? The firewall says it is still on. I have the latest version of the Wordfence plugin and of WordPress.

I am concerned the firewall is no longer working and my site is open to attacks. Any help is much appreciated.

Hi @happylilmonsters, thanks for getting in touch.

Sometimes due to blocking rules we can see these options populated but the IPs have already been removed from the block list. However it does seem unusual to not have these lists populated at all. Could I just get an idea of your hosting environment so I can look into this further for you?

Can you send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com? You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

Note: For the fastest response time, please make sure and add any information or questions directly to this topic and not the email address above unless asked.

    Thanks,

    Peter.

    Hi @wfpeter

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the delay. Turns out I just got a block recorded yesterday. I guess all the attackers got bored with my site for awhile? Let me know if I should still send you the report via email or not.

    Thanks for your help

    Hi @happylilmonsters,

That’s an encouraging sign that you’ve seen a block as it suggests the functionality is working as expected. It could be that you were fortunate enough to not have blocks triggered for a period of time as you state.

Keep an eye on the situation, but I don’t think we need to look further into your configuration at this stage.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
