• Hey everyone. I finally got everything looking nice and good in IE, and then decided I better take a quick peek in FF, and surprise surprise, its a beautiful mess. (I know, I gotta stop waiting until I’m done to check.) Or maybe I should just stop using IE all together…

    Here she is: https://www.chasewgraphics.com

Anyway. Theres some background image issues that should be easy enough to fix. I know FF is picky with the direction of the slashes and such. But the sidebar issue, I’m not too sure about.

    Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

It’s the width of the sidebar. (other things too, but changing the width of the sidebar is WAY easier to solve the problem that you are having right now)

Well if your saying that the width of the sidebar is pushing it below the posts, I dont think thats it. Or at least it shouldn’t…

Take a look in IE to see what it should look like. The sidebar is suppose to extend outside the main area, using overflow.

Maybe FF doesn’t support overflow. I’ll have to look that up…

    Thanks for the reply

FF doesnt support wordwrap, it support overflow just fine.

and haochi is spot on. Go download the web developer toolbar and look at your site while outlining the block level elements. theres no big mystery.

Wow thats a nice feature, thanks for recommending it.

So are you guys basically saying that I cannot have the sidebar hanging outside the main area like it is in IE? And that I’ll have to squeeze it into the margin on the right? Otherwise I dont see what adjusting the width would do.

Again, thanks for the replies, I appreciate the help

hmm, its looking better now. I dont quite understand why the width I had wasnt working though. I’ll play some more.
