I’m experiencing a very strange issue with Firefox 21.0

I just updated to wordpress 3.5.1. and now my pages in the editor are blank and when I preview any pages in Firefox the theme is broken.

    Now the weird part.

I logged into the back-end of the site on another computer and the dashboard/editor pages are perfect, and when previewed in Firefox 21.0 it also looks perfect. Even if I select any other browser from Chrome to Safari to Explorer, the site is fine. So the issue seems to be with just the one computer. I tried re-naming the theme folders and switching to WordPress 2012 theme then back to my original theme, but that didn’t fix the problem, so I’m lost. It’s obviously is a localized PC issue so if anybody knows what the heck is going on here I would really appreciate the help ??

  • Have you cleared the browser cache and cookies?

If the site is functioning correctly on other machines using the same browser, I don’t think I’d waste any time renaming folders or troubleshooting WordPress just yet. I think you’ve already hit the nail on the head. It’s likely a local pc/browser issue, not a WordPress issue.

Have you tried deleting the Firefox browser cache completely on the machine that is experiencing the issue? If that doesn’t do it, disable any Firefox add-ons that might be running, and see if that makes any difference.

Looks like it was a Plug-in called Microsoft Silverlight which was the cause of the issue. It was flagged as being disabled due to Firefox conflicts. I downloaded the latest update for it and voila! the site is previewing as it should.
