I seem to have an issue with Firefox when using Search In Place.
When typing any item into the search box, it reads “result
autocomplete” then underneath it states “Undefined”.
The App works perfectly in Microsoft Edge, just wondered if there was an issue with Firefox.

    Many thanks

    Hello @pethire,

I’ve visited your website using Firefox, but the issue you are reporting is not happening from my side, please, look the screenshot:

I have the same issue with all versions > 1.0.32 of the plugin.
It only happens in certain combinations of OS/Browser e.g. Windows 7 and Chrome 73 (latest stable), with Chrome 75 (beta) no problems.

Better to stay with version 1.0.32 for the moment.

    Hello @lenker

I’ve visited your website with different browsers, including Firefox, and different devices, and the Search in Place is working properly, so, I guess the issue you are reporting should be related with your browser’s cache.

The structure of the JSON object with the search results has been modified to include the recommendations in the search terms (the autocomplete feature), and the javascript file that processes the results was modified too. But, if your browser uses a copy of the file in cache, it will not understand the structure of the results.

Please, check your website again, but clearing the browser’s cache, or even better, in a tab in incognito mode, and let me know if the issue persists.

    Best regards.

    Hello @pethire

Thank you very much for letting me know that everything is working properly.

    Best regards.

Thank you. Clearing the chace had no effect, but it works in incognito mode. As I understand, the cache is not correctly cleared in my installation. I will reinstall the browser, this should solve the issue.

    Best regards

    Hello @lenker

Not exactly, you don’t need to reinstall the browser. Pay attention to the screen for clearing the browser’s cache, there is an option for clearing the last hour, last 24 hours, las 7 days, … you should select the “All time” option before clearing the browser’s cache:

    Best regards.
