    There is a program called mediaelements that you can download. It will evaluate the video file you are trying to run and return the container (mpg4, ogg, etc) and the codecs needed to run the video and audio. Hope this helps.

    I still can’t get it to work on firefox, but it’s working on IE9 and android.

    Make sure that the cantainer types are defined by adding this to your .htaccess file:
    AddType video/ogg .ogv
    AddType video/mp4 .mp4
    AddType video/webm .webm
