Firefox & Facebook-Like & Google Problems

    Hi Jeremy,

    I’ve got the following problem: Within my Firefox-Browser (32.0.3) I’ve got problems with the FacebookLike-Button (generated by the plugin facebook Like by AJ Batac) and with the JetPack Google+ – Button.

    Whenever I hit the Like-Button or I hit the Google+-Share-Button, I get a PopUp coming up for a sec and then it closes immediately doing nothing.

    The interesting thing is, that the Facebook-“Share” Button from AJ Batac works and your Yetpack Twitter-Button also works.

    And the second interesting thing is, that on all other browsers (Chrome, IE, Opera, Safari) also everything works like a charm.

    And the third interesting thing is, that I installed some other Share/Like Plugins and deactivated Jetpack and the plugin from AJ Batac. And there the Like & Google+ Share Button also have this strange behaviour in Firefox.

    Can you give me a hint? Maybe any known problems with other plugins or javascript library?

    Ahh, and I forgot: Also only in Firefox he cannot retrive the info, that I am logged in to Facebook and that I have already liked the post within the Facebook-LikeIt Counter and Button.

    In all the other browsers it works.

    Maybe this is an important info.

    And I have also tested it, turning off the AdBlocker I use within FF. Same result. ??

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    I don’t seem to have any problems with any of the buttons on your site, whether I use Chrome or Firefox:

    Do you use an anti virus software or anything that may block Social Networks on your computer?

    Could you try from a different computer to make sure the problem is not linked to your computer?

    Hi Jeremy,

    shame about myself, I got “cookies from third partys” deactivated in the “Security” Settings of Firefox.

    You have to enable it to ensure that the LikeIts from FB and the Google+-Sharing work correctly.

    Sorry for keeping you busy for this fault of mine but maybe our thread helps someone facing the same situation. ??
