    Hi,

I have a laptop running OSX Mavericks and since the 4.4.1 update my safari browser has been crashing every time I visit any 4.4.1 WordPress site. I found that reverting back to 4.4 fixes the issue. I’ve also found that the crash doesn’t happen if I disable Javascript.

Firefox on the same laptop is crashing on any site that has 4.4 and the issue also disappears if I disable Javascript.

Is anyone else experiencing similar issues? I don’t see the same problems on another computer that has the latest OSX installed (however I use software that forces me to stay with Mavericks).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

I haven’t tested in Safari yet, but that would be the first I’ve heard this. I’m not having any trouble in Firefox 43.0.4 (under OS X 10.11.2), so I suspect something else may be conflicting.

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Sixteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Thanks James. I took the nuclear option and reinstalled my operating system. The problem’s gone. All WordPress sites are loading fine in all my browsers.
