I’ve noticed Firefox laters browser is blocking your share buttons on my sites. I went through FF privacy settings and didn’t see any way to disable this. Works fine on Chrome and Edge browsers. Any suggestions?

Guess it’s time to ditch the Firefox web browser. It’s blocking stuff on this website too!

I’ve checked your site with Firefox 105.0.2 and a rather privacy-focused setting, and I see the sharing buttons.

It’s DuckDuckGo that’s doing the blocking. Changed it from being my default search engine but that didn’t work. It’s blocking all kinds of stuff in the WordPress admin area.

Yep, the DuckDuckGo extension is a common culprit. You can definitely keep it as a search engine and just remove the extension.

FYI the AddToAny plugin has a local caching option that’s a decent workaround to content blocking extensions. If you want to try it, you can enable “Cache AddToAny locally with daily cache updates” in Settings > AddToAny > Advanced Options.

There was a duckduckgo extension in Firefox. Turning it off cured the problem. Thanks so much for your help!

I found a setting in duck duck go that seemed to work. Go to duck duck go >settings and add your website to “Unprotected Sites” works like exceptions and turns off requests…
